Chimera Engineering full CNC Billet Intake Manifold 'elbow' for 2014-2022+ Honda Grom 125 with CBR/CB 250/300cc engine swaps! This manifold would replace the Chimera Silicone Elbow, which will improve the throttle response and performance since the fuel injector is now positioned closer to the OEM location. Since it's made from 6061 billet aluminum, it would not have any issues with air leak, cracking, tearing, or anything that was common with the silicone elbow or the 3D printed manifolds. You could swap out the intake coupler elbow without lowering the front of the engine, which makes it easier to replace/upgrade! Super high quality part!
This manifold would replace the silicone elbow that was originally included with the Chimera CBR engine swap mount kits. The Chimera manifold would reposition the fuel injector closer to the OEM location, which would allow the engine to run more efficiently, improve throttle response, and HP! Run/race worry-free with a solid manifold elbow!
The I.D. of the manifold is ~44.3mm, therefore it would work perfectly for ported throttle body or cylinder head. Since it's made from Aluminum, you could custom polish/port it slightly more to improve the air flow to your preference.
Available in Raw or Hard Anodized Black.
Kit Content:
- Chimera CNC Billet Aluminum Intake Manifold for CB/CBR 250/300 swapped Honda Groms.
- Chimera Silicone Connecting Coupler
- Chimera Throttle Body Injector Plug
- 2x Stainless Steel Hose Clamp
- 2x Injector Spacers
- 2x Stainless Steel Screws for injector
Made in the U.S.A!
Installation notes:
- Apply some Red Loctite (recommended) or silicone gasket maker to the throttle body injector plug (all around) before knocking the plug into the throttle body.
- Retuning the engine is required if the ECU was tuned to run the silicone elbow.
- The Chimera intake manifold will position the throttle body around the same location, so if you've made a hole on the body panel, you may need to adjust the hole as the silicone elbow would have some flex and a different position over the billet manifold.
- You don't need to lower the front of the engine to replace the silicone coupler elbow with the new Chimera CNC manifold. However, if there's a 3D-printed manifold installed, you might need to lower the front of the engine to remove it.
